In an interview with Ign, Maja Moldenhauer, director of the MDHR Studio, revealed that the reason why this DLC was constantly delayed in recent years, is that The study gave a priority to the mental health of all the developers. This is what he said about it:
The priority during the Covid was that they were all happy. These are video games and have been. Mental health must be essential and has to occupy the necessary time and space, especially in the last two years. If the launch needs more time, it will take longer. Who cares?
If we are going to risk everything, it will be a company from which we are proud. It will be a company that is, a fusion of all the things we have always wanted. Mutual respect, love and support. Things we do not receive in our previous works. Well, we did it, but at the end of the day there was a final result.
This is a feeling that several studies shared during the last two years. Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course_ will finally be available on all platforms on June 30, 2022 .
